Membership in Wilson Corporate Council, Wilson National Cabinet, or Wilson Council

Wilson National Cabinet

The National Cabinet of the Wilson Center is a group of leaders we call the Center’s “brain trust”.

As such, Cabinet members participate in the strategic direction of the living presidential memorial that is the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, by participating in Board Meetings in a comprehensive way by providing expertise, counsel, and comment.  The Cabinet is the dynamic force that helps to build a Center ready to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century.

Wilson Corporate Council*

Generous support from U.S. and international corporations has played a critical role in the Woodrow Wilson Center’s financial health and stability since its founding in 1968.

In recognition of this vital support, we established the Wilson Corporate Council corporate support program, which delivers value to business executives by leveraging the Wilson Center’s immense intellectual capital and renowned reputation for convening leading policymakers. The WilsonAlliances program provides numerous benefits to corporate partners to foster a mutually-constructive relationship, particularly one that ensures private-sector perspectives are represented in public policy debates.

Most of our corporate supporters engage with the Wilson Center at one of the levels outlined below. If you are interested in supporting the Wilson Center at a higher level, we will work with your company to develop a customized benefit package.

Wilson Council*

The Wilson Council consists of a dynamic group of individuals from across the country who appreciate the Center's nonpartisan focus on understanding the most pressing policy issues facing the world today. Through the Council’s activities, members become engaged in the life of the institution, connecting with leaders from the worlds of policy, academia and business, while learning the historical, cultural, political and economic perspectives that influence decision making at all levels. Through their participation, counsel and annual contributions, members enable the Center to further the dialogue of democracy. As a private/public partnership, the Center must raise twothirds of its budget every year, making the generosity of the Wilson Council members critical to the Center's continued success. In appreciation of Council member support, the Center provides a wide array of benefits. In March 2016, we welcomed Public Policy Fellow, Dr. Diana Villiers Negroponte, as the newly appointed Chair of the Wilson Council.

"*Benefits include invitations to “A Day at the Wilson Center” held three times a year; and, exclusive discussions, presentations, and roundtables and  private briefings with Center program directors, scholars, and other policy experts.
